Barbara Meixler

Barbara Meixler has worked in the market research profession throughout her career, uncovering insights to help organizations deepen customer engagement, attract prospective customers, and assess the competitive landscape to guide marketing strategy. The most rewarding aspect of this profession is talking to people, analyzing the information and “finding the story” to guide business decision-making. Barbara is currently working as an independent consultant and was previously a partner at Hamill Associates, a boutique market research firm based in Stamford, CT. She worked at American Express and several advertising agencies earlier in her career.

Barbara has an MBA in Marketing from New York University, and a BA in English Literature from Binghamton University. Barbara volunteers with the Westchester Library adult literacy program as well as with the Tarrytown Community Food Pantry. Interests include enjoying the cultural richness that NYC offers, especially theater, dance and movies, along with travel, hiking, discovering new restaurants and spending time at the beach whenever possible.

She is loving the beauty of living close to the Hudson River and is immensely proud of her three children, each of whom is seeking to make a difference in the world in their chosen professions.

Working closely with the Futures Fellowship mentees has been an enormously rewarding part of her life. It is deeply meaningful to work closely with the Fellows on their individual personal and professional journeys by providing on-going guidance, support and friendship.
